My Review:This book is a great example of book-buying in the digital age. I was in a writer's workshop being taught by these two authors and they talked about this book and the story line of it. I'm not a fan of the virgin heroine trope, but a heroine stranded on a deserted island with her three guards....yeah, that appealed. I wasn't the only one who downloaded the book DURING class. It was actually pretty humorous...you could look around the room and see several of us on our ebooks finding it in the store to download.
And it was not a disappointment even though this is a story line that I normally would have issues. BUT you do have to set aside a bit of disbelief...a virgin who takes on three lovers in a single night...yeah, probably not that realistic, but honestly...how many of us EVER take on three lovers at once? It's all about the fantasy right??
And I did enjoy the premise of this book. This is the fourth in the series, but I haven't read any of the others. And obviously, there were events and history to this story that happened in other books, but the authors did a good job of giving you enough of the backstory. I certainly never felt lost.
Alea spent some time in captivity before this book happened. The who/why of that captivity is still a mystery in this book. She was kept captive where she was tortured by having to watch other girls get raped and killed, although she was never personally touched in that way. It was a mental torture. Dane, Coop, and Lan have been her guards in the two years since and have all loved her from afar. She's never shown even the slightest interest in any of them, although they all three hoped someday to become part of a relationship. In Alea's country, it is VERY common for women to take three husbands. Many times those husbands are brothers and although these three aren't actually related, they are as close as brothers.
I liked the story line especially the "stranded on a desert island" part of it. I enjoyed the three guys and their very different personalities. Dane is a Dom, although he keeps swearing he can give that up for Alea if need be. Lan is a shy, quiet sweetheart...he was my favorite of the three guys. Coop is the medic and caregiver. All three have something to offer and I liked them as a group of friends too. Alea has some mental scars that stand in the way of her HEA and I liked, overall, how that all played out. It was a good, fun, HOT, entertaining book. If you can get past the 3 lovers for a virgin, I think you'll enjoy it too.

If you have ever read any of my reviews before, you will know I don't go into a lot of plot description. I believe you should read the book description to get an understanding of the story. I believe you should see the star rating provided by me and the other reviewers. I don't want to read how the story unfolds or any plot spoilers. My reviews are strictly on what I think of the book and the author without giving too much away.
In Their Virgin Princess, Lexi has managed to make something awful turn out to be tolerable. Not tolerable that it happened but tolerable that the heroine can recover and find love and happiness.
If you have read the previous books in this series, you will know what I am referring to (this is another reason you should read all of Lexi's books). Lexi brings the charachters together and has found the right balance between unbearable baggage to baggage within the allowable limits.
This story will touch your heart, but please read the previous books in the series first.
Out of the entire "Masters of Menage" series, this is the one book that I keep returning to; reading it over and over again. If you are new to the menage and BDSM genres, this is a great series to start with.
There is just such a good balance in the characters, and Princess Alea is really the most well-rounded heroine in the series. She's been through a lot of crap--having been held in a South American brothel for months. She first gets a mention in "Their Virgin's Secret" (as the Lennox brothers are who rescue her) and again in "Their Virgin Concubine" as a supporting character. She's been through hell, and goes through such a struggle trying to overcome what happened to her. Sometimes I ended up wanting to shake her, but she comes through in the end.
As for the heroes Dane, Cooper, and Landon, they are a perfect balance for Alea. I loved that each of them have their own demons to face, and the authors really take their time to flesh out their characters. I felt that each of the guys balanced each other out, and none of them seemed to fade into the background. I also enjoy how none of them are related by blood--which means that they have to work together even harder to get the girl. This series has some great humor mixed in with the angst and steam sex scenes, and there are some lines in here that made me laugh out loud.
Granted, this series does tend to follow a formula as you continue to read, but I think "Their Virgin Princess" really is the standard in which to judge the rest of the books by.

Okay I was all set to not like this book after reading the reviews but I have to say that it was so mcuh better than I thought.
Alea was captured and put through a terrible ordeal. It's left her emotionally scarred and trying to push everyone way.
Her three body guards, Dane, Cooper and Landon, have guarded her for two years, and have loved her for that long.
She needs a break from everything that is going on and lets her cousin talk her into going on a short trip. Dane, Cooper and Landan find out that she is about to run for it and sneak on the plane as well. Turns out that is a good thing when they all end up stranded on an island. The island scenes are steamy!
Alea's story is emotional, there is betrayal, 3 hot guys and a HEA.
I didn't read this series in order and the books are fine as stand alones but I would recommend reading them in order. It helps with the secondary characters.
